Planning Application for 3 New Homes in Basildon Approved

Sempra Homes are pleased to announce that a unanimous planning permission was achieved from Basildon Council's Planning Committee, Thursday 7th September 2023, for the construction of 3 new homes at its Markham’s Chase development in Basildon.

 

The development will provide 3x two-bedroom, vibrant, modern houses and will revitalise a site that has been unused for 15 years and subject to nuisance and anti-social behaviour. 

 

Sempra Homes will be working with Homes England to deliver these much-needed homes as part of its shared ownership affordable housing programme, and will give priority to Veterans, Basildon Borough residents and Key Workers to purchase these homes to get their first step on the housing ladder.

 

The homes have been carefully designed to be energy efficient, using a fabric first approach, with each having electric vehicle charging and 2 allocated parking bays and visitor parking. All homes will be built to meet the National Space standards and Sempra are working with Secure by Design officers with an aim of achieving the gold accredited standard to design out crime. As part of the development a new sheltered bus stop, with real time information boards, will be provided by Sempra. As part of bringing forward the development a voluntary contribution will be made by Sempra towards the work of the Council’s Find Your Active Basildon Partnership work, to assist with the improvement of health outcomes for residents through wellbeing and physical activity community work.
