Four more properties were handed over to Sempra Homes at Ballards Walk today.
This will see them take ownership of 2 two-bedroom and 2 three-bedroom properties.
All of these homes have been pre-let to local families on the council’s homeseeker register, who will move in next week.
The homes – which will provide much needed affordable housing – follow the 4 four-bedroom properties handed over at the end of January in St Nicholas Mews, Ballards Walk.
Cllr Anthony Hedley, Basildon Council’s cabinet member for housing and community safety, said: “We are pleased these four properties are ready to be handed over following the four Sempra have already received in St Nicholas Mews.
“These houses, developed by Redrow, signal the beginning for Sempra with plans to develop more than 580 new homes over the next five years.”
Scott Logan, Sempra Homes’ Chairman said: “Our key aim is to increase the supply of quality housing in the borough and these properties are a step in the right direction to achieving this”.
