Sempra Homes has been shortlisted in eight categories at this year’s Essex Housing Awards, reflecting its continued commitment to delivering high-quality, much-needed new homes across the county.
The awards celebrate excellence across the public, private and voluntary sectors, recognising outstanding developments, services and individuals, while promoting best practice throughout Essex.
Shortlisted Categories:
1. Small Housing Scheme (1-24 homes) – Ganels Mews - A 10-home development delivering high-quality homes for Social Rent, Shared Ownership and market Sale, helping to meet a range of local housing needs.
2. Medium Housing Scheme (25-100 homes) – Bowers Close - A mixed tenure development with 23 shared ownership and eight affordable rent homes for local residents and keyworkers.
3. Large Housing Scheme (101+ homes) – Chapelgate Mews - providing a mix of social rented and market sale homes
4. Excellence in Design and Placemaking – Ghyllgrove Close - providing a mix of shared ownership and market sale
5. Excellence in Construction Skills - building skills within the construction industry for future generations, creating opportunity for residents
6. Inclusive Growth and Social Value – Building Skills through Development - recognising Sempra’s work to develop local talent and inspire future careers in construction through its active development sites.
7. Partnership of the Year - Chapelgate, in partnership with Basildon Council, Hill Partnerships, Homes England, MHCLG and One Public Estate
8. The Mo Slade Rising Star Award - Tilly Jones - celebrated for her outstanding contribution as a young professional making a meaningful impact in housing delivery at Sempra Homes and Basildon Council.
