Sempra Homes and Basildon Borough Council have been selected as a finalist in the "Development Programme of the Year (Under 12,000)" category at the UK Housing Awards 2018. The category recognises developers, landlords or local authorities which have shown ambition, determination and innovation to deliver new homes.
Sempra Homes is working alongside the Council to deliver the programme. It includes identifying a number of disused garages and underutilised areas across the borough which are suitable for redevelopment to provide new housing for affordable rent, shared ownership, market rent or sale.
Melanie Keys, Sempra Homes Manager, said "We are very proud to be working with Basildon Council to provide much needed quality and affordable homes for key workers and residents across the Basildon Borough and I am delighted that our hard work and dedication has been recognised"
The winners of the UK Housing Awards 2018 will be announced during a ceremony in London on Wednesday, 2 May.
